Is it worth buying VW shares now?

Dusseldorf Automotive stocks are among the cheapest stocks in the Dax. One auto share has fallen particularly deep in the past few weeks: Volkswagen. Since the high in spring, the price has plummeted by 35 percent. From a six-month perspective, VW is one of the worst DAX values and auto stocks worldwide.

No other German company earns as much as the Wolfsburg-based company. After 8.9 billion euros in the previous year, it should be almost 14 billion euros in the current financial year.

However, nobody should believe that investors have overlooked a deeply undervalued stock like VW. Rather, the high profits and falling prices express concern that earnings will fall in the future – which is why the price is already falling today.

A look at the group and its balance sheet shows that there are good reasons for the decline in the share price, but the share also has great opportunities at this level.
