Apple is preparing to enter a new era in cameras with the iPhone 17 family. It was stated that the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max camera will have a 48 Megapixel triple setup. Especially with the Tetraprism lens, a great increase in zoom will be provided.
iPhone 17 Pro Max comes with triple 48MP camera
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is preparing for a major camera upgrade on next year’s iPhone 17 models. He claimed that the iPhone 17 Pro family will feature a triple 48-megapixel camera system. The updated sensors will allow for higher-resolution photos and 5x optical and 25x digital zoom.
Both the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models are expected to have the new Tetraprism lens. Accordingly, Apple plans to close the camera gap between the Pro models. Both phones will have 48 Megapixel resolution cameras.
For comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro has a 48MP main lens and a 12MP ultrawide/telephoto lens. The revamped camera system looks set to deliver a big boost in photo and video capabilities.
Analyst Kuo believes that the redesigned cameras will also enable higher-quality spatial video capture, and will be optimized for use with Apple Vision Pro.
Apple, on the other hand, aims to deepen its production capacity with its partners in India every year. Pro model production has been something Apple has been thinking about for the last few years. This year, it is planned to manufacture Pro and Pro Max models in India so that when these models are launched, there will be locally assembled iPhone 16 Pros in India as well.
