All phones from iPhone X to iPhone 14 will receive the new update. In addition, the iPhone 8 series, SE 2 and SE 3 models are among the phones that will receive the update. Here is the list of new features coming with iOS 16.4:
- 21 new emoji packs including animals, gestures and some objects are now available in emoji keyboard,
- Notifications for web applications added to the home screen,
- Sound isolation feature for cellular calls, this feature highlights your voice during the call and blocks the ambient noise around you, thus providing you with a cleaner calling experience,
- Extended duplicate album support in Photos to select duplicate photos and videos in iCloud Shared Photo Library,
- VoiceOver support for weather and map application,
- Accessibility setting that automatically dims video when strobe lights or flashing lights are detected,
- Fixed a bug that caused purchase permission requests from children not appearing on parents’ device,
- Fixed issues that caused Matter-compatible thermostats to become unresponsive when paired with Apple Home.
- Traffic Accident Detection improvements have been made on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.
Apple’s eSIM imposition on the iPhone 15 series!
Apple will make the eSIM transition mandatory in Europe with the iPhone 15 series, which it will introduce next September.
