- New keyboard layouts for Choctaw and Chickasaw have arrived.
Fixed bugs
- MapKit: Improved performance of MKOverlay objects.
- AutoFill, including AutoFill for passkeys and passwords, now works with input elements contained in a Shadow DOM in web content.
- Calling PublicKeyCredential.isUserVerifyingPlatformAuthenticatorAvailable() or PublicKeyCredential.isConditionalMediationAvailable() from a web page in a WKWebView now correctly returns whether passkeys can be used depending on the Associated Domains of the calling application.
Known issues
- The iOS device that initiates the pairing must be in the same iCloud account as the home hub. Only the owner of the house can match Matter accessories, not an invited user.
- You may receive an error message when pairing a Matter accessory using the 11-digit setup code.
- When a manual software update is attempted on a Matter accessory with an available update, Home may not indicate that the update was requested and may continue to show that an update is available.
- For Matter accessories, the software update screen may display the wrong version number while an update is in progress.
- No available firmware update will be offered in the Home app immediately after pairing.
- New firmware update may not be offered when multiple updates are made to the same firmware from the same accessory type, or if there are back-to-back firmware versions for an accessory (during an incremental update).
How to download iOS 16.4 Beta 2?
- Log into the Settings app.
- Go to General > Software Update > section.
- Wait a few seconds to check if you are eligible for the update.
- Tap the Download and install button when the update appears.
- Read and accept the Terms of Service.
- Wait for the download to complete. Make sure your iPhone has a high charge and you are connected to the internet.
