Frankfort, New York The lower price level and the prospect of an easing of the price pressure allow US investors to access the start of the week. The Dow Jones index of standard values closed 0.7 percent higher on Monday at 32,381 points. The tech-heavy Nasdaq advanced 1.3 percent to 12,266 points. The broad S&P 500 gained 1.1 percent to 4110 points. In the run-up to US inflation data due on Tuesday, investors speculated that price pressure in the US could ease somewhat.
The focus remains on the monetary policy of the US Federal Reserve. On September 21, the currency watchdogs will decide on the level of interest rates in the USA. Therefore, the inflation data for the month of August deserves special attention. These will be published on Tuesday.
