Investment Giant a16z Establishes Research Team for Cryptocurrencies

Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) is now establishing a research team for cryptocurrencies, following his investments in the crypto money industry.

The new research team, founded by Andreessen Horowitz, will be led by computer scientist Tim Roughgarden, a professor at Stanford and Columbia universities.

Roughgarden’s field of study covers algorithmic game theory and Web 3 technologies. He joined the a16z team last year.
