not long ago on Ripple Matt Hamilton, who has left his position as chief developer representative, is on Twitter with a cryptocurrency user. to Ethereum There was a heated debate over the advantages of XRP Ledger versus XRP.

“Vitalik Buterin Was Staying On CTO David Schwartz’s Couch To Become A Ripple Intern”

The discussion started when a follower of Hamilton lauded the XRP Ledger as a pioneer of decentralized finance (DeFi) as it was the first blockchain to support a decentralized exchange (DEX), tokenization of assets, stablecoins and smart contract features.

The tracker also claimed that XRP Ledger is decentralized and permissionless, and the code has proven itself.

However, another user disputed this claim, saying that Ethereum did all this first and that XRP Ledger has nothing to do with decentralization as it is a payment network.

On top of that, Hamilton stated that XRP Ledger was launched years before Ethereum and that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin was lying on the couch of Ripple’s former tech chief to do an internship at Ripple.

Hamilton is a well-known figure in the XRP community, joining Ripple in early 2021 to expand and develop the XRP ecosystem. He has been involved in launching and hosting the RippleXDev Twitch channel, XRP Ledger Grants program, XRPL Hackathons, and many other projects.

He announced he was leaving Ripple in March 2022, citing personal issues and the need to support his family and help his wife heal. He said he will continue to be present in the XRP Ledger community, albeit at a lower level, for a while.
