According to the experts, it is becoming increasingly unacceptable that a large number of banks and savings banks still pay no interest at all for call money.

Frankfurt A three in front of the decimal point has now become established, at least among savers who compare interest rates for overnight and fixed-term deposits. The top ten offers for overnight money in the interest rate comparison of the Frankfurt financial service provider FMH-Finanzberatung are only offers that offer customers at least three percent. Fixed deposits over a year have interest rates of up to 3.75 percent.
And interest rates keep going up. In the past three weeks, rates for overnight money have risen by around ten percent to an average of 1.42, as determined by FMH among 150 financial institutions. The rate for fixed-term deposits over one year has risen less in percentage terms, but still on average to 2.44 percent.
