Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s auto unit, shared details about the collaboration with AITO parent company SERES and other automakers. Yu underlined that the models were put forward by the automakers they work with, and stated that the Chinese manufacturer only offers smart car solutions.
While the smart cockpit systems bear the signature of the Chinese manufacturer, the automaker decides the production and user experience as well as the decision about the product. While it is stated that there is such a cooperation between Huawei and Seres, it is stated that the AITO brand has an important place in smart cars.

Huawei hopes the partnership between the two companies will continue for many years to come. Yu Chengdong stated that automotive companies that cooperate with Huawei on smart cars will become original product manufacturers (OEMs) for the Chinese manufacturer in the future.
Underlining that AITO is very important to them, the manager stated that both companies carry out significant research and development studies for the automobile. Huawei; works for consumer needs for design, quality, user experience and updates.
Expressing that Huawei does not have the qualifications to produce cars, and many automotive companies are in a similar situation, Yu emphasizes partnerships in this process.
