Huawei and Oppo agreed: Companies join forces!

Unable to experience the rise it wanted after the US embargo it faced in 2019, Huawei continues its efforts to increase its service power. In this context, the company is signing new partnerships. Huawei and Oppo are joining forces in some of them.

Huawei and Oppo announce signing of cross-licensing agreement

Continuing its debut under the umbrella of BTK, Oppo made an agreement with another Chinese company, Huawei, covering 5G, WiFi, audio and video codecs. Huawei and Oppo announced that they have signed a cross-license agreement to present their knowledge on these issues to each other.

Under the terms of the agreement, Huawei will provide connection technical information to Oppo. Oppo, on the other hand, has a long experience in high-quality audio and video consumer electronics. Huawei will also benefit from this experience with the agreement.

As a result of the cross-licensing agreement, Huawei wants to pave the way for some 5G technologies to be used by a company that sells products outside of China. For the company, this agreement brings many advantages in terms of economy. Because the support it received from Germany in the past days also made the company smile.
