Not only for Robert Glatzel (27) was the derby victory in the Weserstadion a big deal. The center forward of HSV is still totally inspired by the 2-0 triumph over the north rivals.
“The days after that it was very, very nice. One had a comfortable feeling during this time. The neighbors greet you even more friendly than usual (laughs), everyone smiles at you. After such a derby victory, the days afterwards are very cool, ”explains the attacker.

BILD: Is the win over Werder worth more than just three points?
Bald head: “The victory is of course very important to all HSV fans. The feeling is a bit different. You also noticed in the team that it was something special. It’s just not a normal game. We were more happy before kick-off and afterwards too. “
BILD: Have you ever experienced such a hot derby in your career?
Bald head: “No. That was the hottest derby of my career so far. I also played Swansea with Cardiff once. That was cool, too, but it didn’t come close to the North Derby. “
BILD: What was going on in you when you took the early lead in Bremen?
Bald head: “Difficult to describe. An unbelievably cool feeling to score in a game like that. “
BILD: How can you compare this emotion after a Derby hit from everyday life?
Bald head: “There is not much that can be done in everyday life. It is an extremely nice feeling to score a Derby goal and to help the team. “
BILD: You have scored all four of your four competitive goals away from home. Conicidence?
Bald head: “I have no explanation. I can’t wait to finally score in a home game. That is clearly my goal. It’s at the top of my to-do list. Preferably against Nuremberg. ”
BILD: You only played in a professional team when you were 22 years old. What were the reasons for the late debut?
Bald head: “I have to honestly say that when I was young I wasn’t quite as stable in my head, I wasn’t that mature. I would have dared to take the step earlier, but at 17 or 18 I wasn’t quite ready. “
BILD: Your dad is a huge fan of reggae superstar Bob Marley. You have even been given the musician’s two first names, Robert and Nesta?
Bald head: “My father is a real fan in that regard. I like the music a lot too, I keep listening to it and have a few songs in my playlist on my phone. I associate beautiful things with it, my childhood and the connection to my father. I love the music very much. “
BILD: Have you ever been to the country of origin of reggae, Jamaica?
Bald head (smiling): “Not yet. I would like to go there too. “
BILD: Keyword travel. When is the trip to your dad’s country, Eritrea, coming up?
Bald head (smiling): “That is also a goal. Unfortunately, you don’t have much time during the summer break. But that would be a nice thing with my father and my children. Something else that’s on my to-do list. “
BILD: HSV coach Tim Walter occasionally assigns punitive tasks to the losing teams. Which was the most painful for you?
Glatzel (laughs): “When, for the winners and the coaching team, we immediately had to go to the gas station without a shower after the session and buy ice cream. I would have preferred to have done a little more shooting practice on the court or gone to the weight room than to get the winners an ice cream. That wasn’t so nice … ”
