When HSV plays Hansa Rostock on Sunday, Stefan Böger (56) will be sitting in the Volkspark Stadium with a pad and pen and taking a close look at his two former clubs.
Because the ex-professional is a scout for FC Augsburg for northern Germany and Scandinavia.
“I don’t have big emotions. The time at Hansa and HSV just went by way too long for that,” explains the defensive specialist, who played 34 games for Rostock (1991-1992) and 38 for Hamburg from 1997 to 1999.
Especially at HSV, the Erfurt native was not only active as a player. After that Böger was assistant coach of the U19s, then coach of the second team for three years.
