It is well known that the HSV pros can rely on their fans. No second division club in Europe has as many spectators as Hamburg. On average, 50,627 visitors made the pilgrimage to the home games in the Volkspark this season.
During the second division break, other teams, some even from other sports, can look forward to the support of the supporters. The department called for an alternative program during the World Cup in Qatar.
Sven Freese (45), the Supporters boss: “We don’t want to be against something (WM broadcasts, ed.), but create alternatives. We want to show the power of amateur sport and how diverse the club is.”
The response to the supporters’ winter program could hardly be better, the rush of fans is huge.
► 13.11.: In the regional league game of the HSV women against Hannover 96 (2:1), 800 supporters ensured the previous season record.
► November 16th: 400 spectators watched the wheelchair basketball game of BG Baskets Hamburg against Hannover United (52:78).
► 20.11.: 1300 spectators at the futsal derby between HSV-Panthers and FCStP Futsal (3:1) ensured that the Wandsbeker sports hall was sold out – and a Bundesliga record.
► 25.11.: 7505 spectators at the Lohmühle in the regional league duel between VfB Lübeck and the U21s of HSV (2:1). All-time record in the fourth-rate Regionalliga Nord. 1500 to 2000 supporters who supported the HSV boys in Lübeck also made sure of that.

If the supporters show up with a lot of fans, they often help with organization and processes, provide volunteer stewards or sell drinks.
The big backdrop becomes a highlight for the amateur teams. The supporters still have two games on their list.
First in the soccer Oberliga (9.12.) the game between HSV III and FC Süderelbe.
Shortly before Christmas Eve (December 23) it’s time for regional league ice hockey – HSV versus ERC Wunstorf. It’s going to be really crowded again on the ice rink in Stellingen. 1500 to 2000 followers are expected.
