Berlin There is wild speculation and at best indications as to when a Ukrainian counter-offensive against the Russian invaders should take place. Analysts are certain, however, when it comes to the question of when it can take place.
Because the weather is a reasonably reliable variable – and shows that maneuvers with heavy weapons such as tanks can now be carried out on a large scale again. From mid-April, the ground, which had softened over the winter months, is so dry again that heavy military vehicles no longer get stuck in the mud.
When exactly, the Ukrainian command wants to decide “at the very last moment,” said Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, recently in an ARD interview.
