They became a hype in the crypto world in 2021: Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). These are digital certificates of ownership that, like cryptocurrencies, are based on blockchain technology. This makes them unique and therefore forgery-proof.
Celebrities like US rapper Snoop Dogg, skater legend Tony Hawk and German rapper Kool Savas have already sold their own NFT works. But large corporations such as Visa, Adidas and Nike are also investing heavily in tokens. A billion-dollar market has emerged within a few months.
