Jochen Eickholt is now the last hope to make the wind company Siemens Gamesa profitable again after years of crisis. Eickholt doesn’t see a reason why this shouldn’t work. In an interview with the Handelsblatt, he outlines his plan to get one of the world’s largest turbine manufacturers back on track.

In addition to higher prices and better contracts to better protect himself against raw material costs and supply chain problems in the future, the 60-year-old does not shy away from tough austerity measures. “I can’t rule out anything at the moment, so sorry about that,” says Eickholt, with a view to possible job cuts or the closure of entire plants.
