I’m in Hamburg and looking forward to staying at the Westin Grand in the Elbphilharmonie. The hotel opened at the end of 2016. The “Elphi”, as the Elbphilharmonie is affectionately known, has been around since 2017. From the taxi I can see Hamburg’s landmark from afar: 110 meters high, 244 rooms in the hotel. The Westin extends over 21 floors. The rooms begin at a height of 40 meters and reach up to the 19th floor under the curved roof of the building.

The exclusive location ensures high room prices. Nothing can be done for less than 200 euros (during my stay I even paid around 350 euros for the simplest room category). And that’s the entry level.
