Honor has launched the international version of the Magic7 Pro, featuring specifications similar to the Chinese model but with some differences, particularly in color options and RAM. Priced at 1299 euros, it remains unchanged from its predecessor, which is notable given rising component costs in the industry. However, competing smartphones with similar configurations are offered at lower prices. The device will be reviewed comprehensively soon, with key specifications highlighted.
Honor has officially introduced the international variant of the Magic7 Pro. While most of its technical specifications align with the Chinese model, there are a few notable tweaks. Additionally, the pricing strategy may raise eyebrows when compared to competitors like Google, OnePlus, or Oppo. Let’s dive into the details.
Back in November 2024, we had a chance to test the Magic7 Pro for a full day, specifically one of the Chinese versions of Honor’s flagship device. We experienced it in its top-tier configuration, boasting 16 GB of RAM. Our initial impressions were quite positive. Honor later confirmed that the smartphone would make its way to Europe, but details regarding its launch date, configurations, and, most importantly, pricing remained elusive.

Ultimately, we only had to wait a couple of months for clarity on these matters. This morning, Honor officially revealed the Magic7 Pro’s arrival in France, succeeding the well-received Magic6 Pro from 2024. The smartphone is officially available from Wednesday, January 15. It comes in two color options (black and gray) rather than four like its Chinese counterpart. Moreover, it is offered in a single configuration featuring 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, which is surprisingly absent in China.
No Price Hike for the Honor Magic 7 Pro in France
Interestingly, the pricing is quite predictable. The smartphone is priced at 1299 euros, not including any promotions or subsidies. This aligns with the price of its predecessor. This is a reassuring development, especially since many industry analysts had anticipated a price increase for premium smartphones, particularly those powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. The speculation stemmed from expected rises in component costs.
This news is even more encouraging considering that both the Magic 5 Pro and Magic 6 Pro experienced a 100 euro increase compared to their earlier models. It’s important to note that the true value of a smartphone should be assessed against its competition. Currently, we observe that other smartphones with the same processor available on the market are priced lower with similar configurations. This includes devices like the ROG Phone 9 Pro, Realme GT 7 Pro, and OnePlus 13. Other major contenders with different SoCs, such as the Find X8 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, are also positioned at similar price points.
Brands like Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung, and Apple will typically price their offerings higher, as is their custom. Consequently, the Magic7 Pro will not emerge as the priciest non-foldable smartphone available. Instead, it will find itself in a mid-range position, potentially struggling to justify its price tag due to certain shortcomings, while Honor has made a commendable effort to shield consumers from inflation.
