In the face of the rapid development of Metaverse, studies and investments in this field have started to increase.
In this context, Hong Kong is preparing to launch its first Metaverse ETF in late February.
According to the information received, CSOP Asset Management plans to publish the “CSOP Metaverse Concept ETF” on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on February 21.
The CSOP Metaverse Concept ETF will invest heavily in companies that provide products or services that contribute to the development of the metaverse.
Technology giants Meta (Formerly Facebook), Apple, Sony Group, Tencent Holdings, Roblox, Nvidia and Qualcomm are among the top 10 companies to be included in the planned investment portfolio.
It was also stated that the “CSOP Metaverse Concept ETF” will focus on four core areas of Metaverse: Metaverse infrastructure, Metaverse construction technology, Metaverse applications and Metaverse content.
In the initial bid period the ETF published, it was set at approximately US$1 of the issue price.
The first ETF related to the Metaverse space was launched in the US on June 30, 2021. Apart from this Hong Kong ETF, there are two Metaverse ETFs in the US and four in South Korea.
