Mercedes has taken a new step in the fight against aftermarket parts sales. More than 1.6 million fake parts were seized in 2023.

The application, which is expected to be introduced next year for upper segment vehicles, such as the E-Class, will come as part of the MBUX entertainment package for vehicles. With the Boosteroid system, just like NVIDIA GeForce Now, users will be able to play games from platforms such as Steam or Epic.

The statement made by Mercedes-Benz is as follows:

“Together with Boostroid, we are delivering an even more compelling in-car gaming experience for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The cloud-based approach to gaming is the ideal way to deliver a triple-A gaming experience to our customers and gaming fans. It is clear evidence of how we have further developed MBUX to meet our customers’ expectations. That’s why we are excited to be at gamescom and join our long-standing esports partner SK Gaming, one of the best-known names in competitive gaming.”
