Berlin The chairwoman of the Economic Wise Men, Monika Schnitzer, expects persistently high inflation. “We will continue to see high inflation in 2023 because the high energy prices will reach consumers,” she told the “Bild” newspaper on Friday the war in Ukraine.” The labor market remains robust: “This is due to the relief, which also benefits companies. Regarding the gas price brake, she said that the instrument would also relieve higher earners “who don’t need it at all”.
