Türk Telekom is taking another important step to support women’s active participation in economic and social life. Joining forces with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Habitat Association, Türk Telekom is offering grant support to women entrepreneurs as part of the “Life is Easy in Digital” project.

One of the most important features of the project is that it gives priority to women entrepreneurs affected by the earthquakes in 2023. A total of 1 million TL in grant support will be provided to women going through this difficult process to re-establish and develop their businesses.

The project, which has provided face-to-face and online training to more than 5,200 women since March, is now taking its support to the next level with a mentoring and grant program. All entrepreneurial women over the age of 18 can apply for the program, and applications will continue until October 12, 2024.

Türk Telekom demonstrated a strong financial performance in the first quarter of 2024 and began to reap the rewards of its growth strategies.

The 40 selected women entrepreneurs will participate in a two-week intensive mentoring program. With the trainings given by experts, women will be comprehensively informed on topics such as determining the target audience, creating effective content, analyzing competitors, developing online marketing strategies, managing sales channels and budget planning. Following the mentoring program, 20 women entrepreneurs who will be evaluated by the jury will receive a total of 1 million TL in grant support.

Türk Telekom Corporate Communications Director Arif Sancaktaroğlu states that the “Life is Easy in Digital” project has touched the lives of tens of thousands of women to date and that they will continue to work to empower women.

TOBB, UNDP and Habitat Association officials also emphasize the importance of women’s entrepreneurship with the support they give to the project. The importance of supporting women’s participation in economic life and contributing to development is especially emphasized in the earthquake zone.

The “Life is Easy in Digital” project stands out as an important initiative that contributes to women gaining a stronger place in economic and social life in Turkey with the comprehensive support it offers to women entrepreneurs.
