Google Partners With Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Company Bakkt!

The increasing interest in digital payments after the pandemic has also contributed positively to the crypto money market. As companies develop digital payment systems to keep up with this transformation, many partnerships are forming. A partnership in this regard also came from Google.

Bakkt, the digital asset marketplace that allows consumers to buy, sell, send and spend digital assets, has announced a partnership with Google to expand reach and availability.

Accordingly, Visa supported virtual Bakkt cards can also be used wherever Google Pay is accepted.

Bakkt users will be able to sign up for Google Pay for their daily purchases of goods and services and make purchases with their assets such as Bitcoin.

Digital assets will be converted into fiat currency for the settlement of payments.

In addition, Bakkt has chosen Google Cloud as its preferred cloud provider. Solutions powered by Google Cloud will be available to leading US merchants.

Making a statement on the subject, Bakkt CEO Gavin Michael said:

“This partnership is a testament to Bakkt’s strong position in the digital asset market to enable consumers to enjoy their digital assets in real time, securely and reliably.

Plus, partnering with Google Cloud will undoubtedly enable us to continue to build a best-in-class, innovative platform that scales to meet the needs of millions of users.”

Kirsten Kliphouse, Head of Google Cloud North America, said:

“Google Cloud has been at the forefront of accelerating digital commerce and empowering many retailers and merchants. We are proud to help Bakkt accelerate and scale the availability of innovative solutions powered by our technologies.”
