Google first launched the continuous scrolling feature on mobile devices in October 2021, followed by desktop in December 2022. Thanks to this feature, we could see several pages of search results without manually clicking the “More results” button.
However, Google noted that based on user data, it was faster to serve just 10 results and users found more results unnecessary. That’s why he says he removed the continuous scrolling feature. In other words, Google says, “There is no need for verbosity, short and concise results are quite sufficient.”

Starting today, when you Google Search on desktop, after about 10 results, the classic Gooooooooogle You will see the pagination bar. The main reason why Google removed the continuous scrolling feature is to speed up the time you spend in searches and make it more efficient. According to Google, most users scan results up to four pages and find there is no benefit in serving more results. Therefore, it is thought that a more logical solution is to show 10 results and then move on to the “Next” button.
