German stocks start weaker on Friday

Frankfurt German stocks start Friday trading with little movement. The Dax was down 0.1 percent in the morning at 15,970 points.

On a day without significant news from the company, Rheinmetall, Airbus and Eon lead the list of winners in the Dax 40 with price premiums of around one percent, while at the lower end Symrise around three percent, Bayer and BASF give way more than one percent.

The Asian markets provided slightly positive impetus at the start of trading. They mirrored Wall Street’s rebound on Thursday, led by technology stocks, as the likelihood of the US Federal Reserve not raising interest rates in the coming week increased.

The economic situation is darkening

The assumption was supported by the current figures on American jobless claims. They have climbed to a high in over a year. A rate hike by the US Federal Reserve in July, on the other hand, is still considered certain by financial players.
