Dusseldorf, Berlin The partial mobilization in Russia as a result of the Ukraine war is increasingly causing moral distress for German companies with locations in Russia. As the Handelsblatt learned from various companies, employers are currently being contacted by the Russian military authorities and asked to provide the data of conscript employees so that they can be drafted for military service in Ukraine. Affected is the Gütersloh-based agricultural machinery manufacturer Claas, which is exempt from the sanctions as a supplier to the food industry and currently operates a production plant in Krasnodar, Russia.
