German authorities hardly rely on sustainability when it comes to procurement

Berlin When it comes to the topic of sustainability, there is hardly a success story that is too banal for the German authorities. The Bavarian district town of Fürstenfeldbruck, for example, had itself entered in the nationwide “Compass Sustainability” list of examples in 2022 because wine, chocolate and nuts were ordered from the local world shop. Retirement and marriage anniversaries as well as government employees on milestone birthdays and service anniversaries can now enjoy the sustainably produced delicacies.

The municipality of Markt Roßtal, just outside Nuremberg, also put it on the list. Your purchase, as documented by the “Sustainability Compass”, insists on the “Blue Angel” environmental seal when procuring dog waste bags. Annual budget: 520 euros.
