Gerbaulet becomes the first personally liable partner

Dusseldorf The Oetker Group is reorganizing its corporate structure and advisory board. CFO Ute Gerbaulet, who has been in office since May 2021, and CEO Albert Christmann, who has been in office since 2016, are now personally liable companies, internally abbreviated as phG. The 53-year-old Gerbaulet is the first woman in the group with these powers.

There is no official report, but upon request, the Dr. August Oetker KG the changes in the group of shareholders. The now divided group of companies includes the food manufacturer Dr. Oetker, the Coppenrath & Wiese frozen confectionery, the Radeberger brewery group, the Flaschenpost delivery service and a few hotels.

In addition, the advisory board was newly appointed: non-family members include Andreas Jacobs from the coffee dynasty of the same name and Anna Maria Braun, head of the medical device manufacturer B. Braun. All other members belong to the Oetker dynasty. According to the commercial register, the group has also reorganized itself under company law. So far, five family members have represented the five children from the first two marriages of Patriarch Rudolf-August Oetker, who died in 2007. A total of 19 family members now hold shares and, as shareholders, have voting rights. First the Lebensmittelzeitung had reported about it.

The mother of three Gerbaulet has been in the group since 2013, but until last year at Bankhaus Lampe. The private bank was part of the group until it was sold to Fosun in 2021. The successful investment banker switched to the small private bank in 2013 and has been active there since 2017 as a personally liable partner. She was also the first woman to hold this position at Bankhaus Lampe.

The Oetker Group was only split up in November 2021. To Dr. Since then, August Oetker KG has owned around 350 companies, the group has a total turnover of around 5.5 billion euros and employs 40,000 people. At the same time, the three children from Rudolf-August Oetker’s third marriage founded the Geschwister Oetker Beteiligungen KG, with around 10,000 employees and around two billion euros in sales. These include the world’s largest sparkling wine producer, Henkell Freixenet, the baking agent company Martin Braun, the Budenheim chemical plant, several hotels and the Rudolf August Oetker art collection.
