Gas importer VNG applies for state aid because of high gas prices

The gas importer is a group of companies active throughout Europe with over 20 companies.

Dusseldorf, Berlin The crisis on the gas market is becoming more and more expensive for the state: After Uniper, the gas importer VNG now also has to apply to the Ministry of Economic Affairs for stabilization measures due to the sharp rise in energy prices. However, the federal government bears a not inconsiderable share of the blame for the fact that the situation for the Leipzig company is becoming so critical.

If the state had ensured that the former Gazprom-Germania, now Sefe (“Securing Energy for Europe”) continued to supply VNG with gas, it would probably not have to save the company now.

The energy crisis is becoming more and more expensive for the German state: 100 billion euros in a rescue package for the energy industry, 15 billion euros for gas purchases, eight billion and more for the rescue of the gas trader Uniper. It is not yet known how expensive the rescue of VNG will be. The only thing that is clear is that she must be saved.
