Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, in a post on his social media accounts, said that with the support of the Fırat Development Agency, Silk Road Child and Youth Center’s Elazig farmers are spraying their agricultural lands with free drones.

Minister Varank gave the good news: Togg is entering the last corner!

Mustafa Varank shared the video of the Togg test before mass production with other ministers on social media.

Agricultural lands were sprayed by Silk Road Child and Youth Center

Silk Road Youth Center, the construction of which started in 2016 with the support of 5 ministries and was established on an area of 225 thousand square meters in Elazig, is under the auspices of the Presidency. In the previous period, it was inaugurated with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Its main sponsor was the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

Now he has started a new project to support agriculture in the region. In the event, which was held on April 10, 2022 with the support of the Fırat Development Agency, the lands of the farmers engaged in agriculture in Elazig were sprayed free of charge using the drone spraying technique.

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, one of the first to share this situation on social media, said:

With the support of our Fırat Development Agency, Silk Road Child and Youth Center sprayed the agricultural lands of our farmers in Elazig with drone free of charge. Congratulations for this exemplary project for Turkey.

Of course, we should mention that there are 56 different workshops established on many different business specialties within the Silk Road Youth Center. There are many areas and training rooms here, including software, coding, robotics, technical workshop, design workshop and assembly workshop.

In addition, an area of 4 thousand square meters is reserved for the children’s traffic training track, and an area of 2 thousand square meters is reserved for outdoor thematic training in 10 themes that will also improve the analytical thinking ability of children.

Advantages of spraying with drone

  • Regional overuse is prevented in spraying with drones. This reduces costs and possible damage to plants.
  • During field and land control, detection can be made by flying without damaging the crops.
  • In the traditional spraying method, entering the field with tractors and other land vehicles damages the crops and reduces the harvest time income. But this situation can be avoided with the use of drones.
  • Time and worker wages can be saved during spraying. Because the company, which provides and sells spraying services with many drones, also supplies software that will enable these vehicles to take off and land autonomously.
