Forget Other Altcoins! Whales Shovel This Coin! – Cryptokoin.com

The biggest cryptocurrency investors, called whales, have been busy accumulating a recent airdrop in recent days. The data shows that whales exchanged loads of ETH, USDT and USDT with this altcoin throughout the week.

Altcoin whales set new target

Arbitrum (ARB), an Ethereum-based Blockchain scaling solution, has become a favorite of whales after the airdrop event. On-chain analyst Lookonchain lists the top five Arbitrum whale transactions that have purchased a total of 13.31 million ARBs worth $17.54 million. According to the data, a crypto whale bought 4.94 million ARBs yesterday with 3,700 Ethereum worth $6.79 million. The whale paid a gas fee of $1.38 for this transaction.

Lookonchain notes that crypto whales are using USD Coin (USDC) and Tether (USDT) to raise millions of dollars in four other key transactions.

The other whale bought 2.74 million ARBs at 3.52 million USDC at an average price of $1.28. Whale then used his investment to provide liquidity to Uniswap (UNI), earning $1.77 million in the transaction.

Another whale paid $3.56 million for $2.61 million ARB to USDC and USDT, with an average entry price of $1.28. The fourth crypto whale has accumulated 1.53 million ARBs and 1.95 million USDC with an average entry price of $1.28. The last whale purchased 1.49 million ARBs for $1.99 million USDC at an average price of $1.33.

The Arbitrum whale purchases come just one day after the crypto project’s highly anticipated airdrop on March 23. On the same day, Blockchain researcher Arbiscan announced that daily transactions on Arbitrum had reached the ATH level of 2,733,872.

In another development, Lookonchain found that a whale had replaced all its GMX positions with ARB. Whale bought 12,445 GMX (currently $927,000) for $40 with 300 ETH ($498,000). He then bought 12,445 GMX and 665,947 ARBs for $1.39.

Altcoin investors claim $680 million worth of ARBs in airdrop

On the first day of the Arbitrum airdrop, approximately 263,000 addresses requested more than 509 million ARB tokens, which is approximately 43.85% of the airdrop. This is worth over $680 million at the current price of $1.34.

The Arbitrum team has ensured that the token is listed on major exchanges including Binance, OKX, Bybit, Uniswap, MEXC, Huobi, Bitget and many more. Thus, the airdrop center found wide coverage among the exchange listings and the community.
