Frankfurt Anyone who is currently looking at their electricity meter can count how the money is running out. Even before the Ukraine war, electricity tariffs had risen significantly. Since then, prices have jumped up and reached new record highs.
Many property owners are therefore giving more thought to purchasing a photovoltaic system in order to make themselves at least a little less dependent on price developments. “The order books of many of our member companies are currently filling up,” says Carsten Körnig, General Manager of the German Solar Industry Association.
However, rising raw material prices are also driving up the costs for systems on your own roof. “Procurement and installation are expensive. The maintenance is not expensive, but the prices have risen here too,” emphasizes Corinna Kodim, energy expert of the homeowners’ association Haus & Grund Germany.
