According to a new claim reflected in the media, the government is preparing to introduce a fixed price application in 20 basic products to combat inflation. In the event that the application comes into force, the loss of the producer will be covered by the state.
Inflation, which started to increase with the exchange rate breaking records at the end of 2021 in Turkey and continues to increase today, brought along various measures. While VAT has been discounted on many products until today, a new claim about the ruling party has come to the fore.
According to the new claim brought to the agenda by channels such as Habertürk and CNN Türk, the economic staff of the AK Party put forward the idea of fixing the prices of some products in order to fight inflation. While it is not certain which products these products are, the number of products is 20 pieces announced.
The state will cover the producer’s loss.
Although it is not certain among the 20 products mentioned, products such as oil, flour, sugar, legumes, diapers and cleaning products. will be stated. If the proposal turns into practice, the prices of these products will remain stable throughout Turkey until the end of the year, in order not to be affected by inflation.
The subsidy will start in order not to harm the producers. In this context, for example, if a product that should be sold for 16 TL is sold for 10 TL, The difference of 6 TL will be paid to the producer by the state.. After the idea of price fixing has matured, it is expected that negotiations with chain markets will be held and decisions will be taken for the implementation of the system.
