Dusseldorf More than half of the 160 largest listed companies in Germany do not have a board member. 81 of the companies listed in the selection indices of the German stock exchange are on the so-called “red list” of the Allbright Foundation. The organization regularly analyzes gender parity at the top of Dax, MDax and SDax companies.
For the first time since the surveys began in 2016, the list of companies without female board members has not become shorter. The defaulters include the IT service provider Adesso, the steel trader Klöckner and the telecommunications provider 1&1.
As of September 1, 2022, a total of 599 men and 99 women in management positions were in charge of the 160 companies included. That’s four fewer men and six more women than twelve months earlier.
