Dusseldorf Without its car manufacturers, the Dax would be almost nothing. Because almost half of the profits have 2022 VW and other manufacturers pocketed. And that even without double-counting the profits of Porsche AG and Porsche Holding of around ten billion euros, which are also included in the profit at Volkswagen AG.
But a look at the annual balance sheets for 2022 shows even more: the increase in the Dax from 30 to 40 members since the end of 2021 “only” ensures an additional profit of a good eight billion euros. BMW alone managed more than twice as much.
