Five crisis-proof stocks under review

Dusseldorf Rising energy prices, high inflation and fears of recession are currently weighing on the mood on the stock markets. Many investors are concerned with the question of how they can set up their portfolio to be crisis-proof.

For this reason, Handelsblatt stock analyst Ulf Sommer has selected a few individual stocks that he considers crisis-proof. He presents five of them in the new episode of Handelsblatt Today Extended. One example is the beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola: “The company is not growing rapidly, but it is growing steadily,” says Sommer in an interview with Anis Mičijević. The brown soda is always drunk and that’s why Coca-Cola is “absolutely crisis-proof”.

Another example is Apple stock, which is also a favorite of star investor Warren Buffett. He continued to increase his stake in Apple this year. Stock analyst Sommer explains why he still counts the iPhone manufacturer among the top values - especially in uncertain times.

In addition to the well-known names, Sommer’s selection also includes companies that not everyone should know – for example the Danish diabetes specialist Novo Nordisk. In addition, a single value appears in the list that could be described as an ethically incorrect investment.
