In the “Family Power Couples” offshoot, a parent and a child have recently competed together in the fight against the pounds. The Cologne male duo with widower Manni (55, starting weight 129.3 kilos) and his son Lucas (19, starting weight 128.7 kilos) were already favorites in the five-week weight loss camp.
Moderator Matthias Killing (42) also recalled: “Both had to cope with a real blow of fate. The husband lost his wife and the son lost his mother, it was two and a half years ago. “
The appearance of the two in the final – simply amazing! Manni smiled, Lucas looked like an exchange.
The formerly shy student: “I wanted to make me more self-confident, also in everyday life. And that’s what I’ve become now and I’m very happy about it. Not just about the fact that I lost so much. “

With a joint starting weight of 258 kilos, the two were able to lose 31.6 percent weight – together they only weighed 176.5 kilos. Victory among the finalists!
Something else made the duo happy: Manni’s new girlfriend was in the audience! No problem at all for Lucas: “I knew that it had to get back to normal at some point and that’s why I think it’s good.”

Manni confidently tells BILD about his new life: “The title is the icing on the cake for all the effort. And everything is going great with the woman. Fortunately for me, there is still no invitation to the jungle camp, that would be a challenge. ”
How this duo lost more weight than the official winners!
Only one thing clouded the victory of the men’s duo – there were candidates who were actually even better!
Because in addition to the three finalist duos, the couples who had previously been eliminated were also weighed. Lo and behold: Shaliek (20, starting weight 123.2 kilos) and his mother Andie (47, starting weight 97.6 kilos) lost more weight than the official winners!

They reduced their combined starting weight by a whopping 33.2 percent from 220.8 kilos to 147.5 kilos. The weight loss secret: trainer Ramin Abtin (49)!
Andie revealed to BILD: “Ramin offered us to train with him. We gladly accepted that in addition to our training, because we really wanted to show that we would have been worthy finalists. ”
The mother-son team trained once or twice a week in the martial arts academy of the ex-kickboxing world champion. There was no trace of envy among the “little winners”. Andie continues: “’Little winners?’ Rather worthy and proud winners, just without the 50,000 euros. We wanted to achieve that after we were kicked out because of a stupid mistake shortly before the final. “
