Fateful days for Lucas Hernández (25)!
After the Bayern star’s renewed objection to Section 26 of the Madrid Regional Court against the impending prison sentence, there should be a meeting on Friday between the judges of the regional and criminal courts. That said a spokesman for the court administration in Madrid.
Hernández was officially notified by the criminal court in Madrid on Monday that he would be served a six-month prison sentence within ten days.
Reason: In 2017, he disregarded a ban on approaching his girlfriend at the time, Amelia (34). Part of a punishment for a physical abuse against Amelia, to whom he is now married.
And now? Hernández has to hope for an acquittal by the regional court before October 28th. There should not be a date for the decision yet. A lower-ranking criminal court had already thrown out the player’s objection.
If the judgment of the regional court is missing within the 10-day period, Hernández has to begin his detention. The only loophole: an application to be allowed to remain at large until the verdict. It is still unclear whether this will be granted.
It should be clear that Hernández could not serve the possible prison sentence in Germany.
