Gasparino thinks that if the SEC succeeds in defeating Ripple’s team of defendants in court, it will have very negative consequences for the entire crypto space, not just Ripple Labs and XRP.

He assumes that the crypto community will face a “bloodbath”. Specifically, this means expanding tight regulation to every sector of the crypto space, including crypto exchanges, which SEC Chairman Gary Gensler might want to enforce in this situation.

Gasparino believes the regulations will impose a registration requirement for every cryptocurrency except the leading Bitcoin.
