World-renowned economist Steve Hanke, who is frequently on the agenda of Turkey, has said that in the past months, especially in Turkey,real inflation‘ had come to the fore with his accounts. Hanke said that real inflation on an annual basis in November 58.75% that it’s in December over 100% he had shared. Hanke also shared a new statement this month.
Sharing on his Twitter account, Hanke argued that the Turkish Statistical Institute did not explain the facts. Turkey’s annual inflation is 108.75%. explained. Hanke, in his post, said that Turkstat announced annual inflation as 48.69 percent in January 2022 and reacted to TurkStat again.

The latest data announced by TUIK:
TURKSTAT announced annual inflation as 48.69% in January. But at the same time, an independent organization Inflation Research Groupannounced that annual inflation was calculated as 114.87%. In addition, TurkStat stated that inflation increased by 11.10% in January, while ENAG gave this rate as 15.52%.
TUIK, inflation data for the period of February 2022 on March 3 will share with the public.
