Extradition of Thodex Founder Faruk Fatih Özer to Turkey Approved by the Court of Appeal! When will he come to Turkey?

thodex cryptocurrency Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder and CEO of the exchange, who fled abroad after the stock market collapsed and tens of thousands of customer funds were lost, was caught in Albania on 30 August.

The CEO, who has not been extradited to Turkey until today, was decided to be extradited to Turkey at the hearing on 17 November.

This decision was appealed.

What Happened?

Özer, who was detained in the case in Albania, had requested the Elbasan Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to extradite Özer to Turkey.

Özer, whose hearing has been held on 6 October, 21 October, 1 November, 10 November and 17 November, has been decided to be extradited to Turkey at the hearing on 17 November.

Making a statement on the subject, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu announced that they were in contact with the Albanian authorities and that Özer would be extradited.

The indictment prepared in Turkey against Thodex founder Özer includes 21 suspects and 2027 victims. According to the information in the indictment, the damage caused by Thodex is 356 million TL.
