Extradition of FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried to the USA Under Discussion!

American and Bahamian officials are discussing the possibility of bringing Sam Bankman-Fried to the United States for questioning, according to three people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg reported.

Meetings between law enforcement officials in the two countries, cryptocurrency firm has intensified in recent days as they investigate their role in FTX’s downfall.

“Sam Bankman-Fried Collaborates with Bahamian Authorities”

One of the people who said that Bankman-Fried was collaborating with the Bahamian authorities, did not want his name to be disclosed due to the sensitivity of the issue, like the others.

Neither Sam Bankman-Fried nor his lawyer have yet responded to requests for comment. A representative of the US Department of Justice in Washington declined to comment.

Neither the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, which is investigating the collapse of FTX, nor the financial crimes unit of the Royal Bahamas Police responded to a request for comment.

Since FTX’s collapse last week, prosecutors and regulators in the US and Bahamas have launched investigations. Bahamian police met with Sam Bankman-Fried on Saturday.

Bankman-Fried has repeatedly apologized to FTX customers on Twitter. He also said on his social media platform on Friday that he was “shocked to see things unfold like this” and would try to give full details of what happened once he had a better understanding of the situation.

However, Sam Bankman-Fried claimed on Twitter today that he has enough money to meet the obligations of his bankrupt companies.

SBF also said it will share the events behind the collapse of FTX and Alameda Research in the coming period. After these statements, there was an increase in the price of FTT, SRM and Solana tokens.
