Liberation from dependence on fossil fuels is essential for companies to survive: According to calculations by the Munich-based Ifo Institute, the rise in energy prices is costing Germany almost 110 billion euros in real income.

The Electricity 4.0 concept offers a way out and can even help European industry to emerge stronger from the current situation. The concept is based on the combination of electricity and digitization.

Against the background that more and more areas are being electrified, it is a lever for more energy efficiency. Behind the concept is a fundamental change in the way we measure, use and distribute energy. The result is intelligent energy, in which the supply of the energy producers and the demand of the consumers are coordinated on the basis of forecast data.
