Audi Q4 owners in Quebec are facing ongoing frustrations due to persistent issues with starting, charging, and geolocation. Many have reported frequent trips to dealerships for repairs, leading to feelings of anxiety and regret about their purchases. Some owners have initiated a movement for a class action lawsuit against Audi Canada, citing a lack of response to their concerns. Local dealerships are trying to assist by expediting repairs, but dissatisfaction remains widespread among the affected owners.
Quebec Audi Q4 Owners Facing Ongoing Challenges
A significant number of Audi Q4 owners in Quebec are expressing their frustration as their electric vehicles are plagued with persistent issues related to starting, charging, and geolocation. Since they acquired these luxury cars, many have found themselves making frequent trips to the dealership due to mechanical failures. The Journal interviewed several owners who shared their experiences, highlighting the anxiety they feel every time they get behind the wheel.
Experiences of Discontent Among Owners
Amir Houshmand, one of the affected owners, stated, “Every time I park, I always check the space in front and behind my vehicle in case I need to be towed.” What was once a thrilling experience of purchasing a new car has turned into a source of stress for him. “Now, there is more. I am always stressed,” he added.
Shawn Erridge shares a similar story, revealing that his vehicle required part replacements even before he took delivery. “Two weeks after leaving the garage, my car wouldn’t start, and I needed to be towed,” he recalls. His frustration grew as he learned from a service employee that he had never encountered a vehicle with so many issues in his career. Despite reaching out to Audi Canada, he feels trapped in a four-year lease with a car he no longer feels safe in. “Since the beginning, I regret my purchase,” he lamented.
Another owner, Amélie Tessier, faced significant challenges as well, having to return her vehicle after just a few months due to multiple issues, including a charging gun that would frequently get stuck. “I have an asthmatic child, and if he has an attack during the night, we need to get to the hospital quickly. If you can’t use your vehicle to get there, it can put people’s lives in danger,” she expressed, emphasizing the urgency of her situation.
Despite repeated attempts to communicate their concerns, many owners, including Daniel Perez, reported a lack of response from Audi Canada. “It seems they knew the model had issues before selling it to us,” he remarked. Meanwhile, local Audi dealerships have been attempting to assist the frustrated owners by expediting repairs to keep the vehicles operational.
Recently, a movement has emerged on social media, with Mr. Perez advocating for a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer. On a Facebook page with nearly 2,000 members, he noted, “I have over 70 people ready to join the movement.” He is in the process of preparing a letter to a law firm specializing in such cases and believes they will soon reach 100 participants. “I wanted to gauge interest among the people in the Facebook group,” he added confidently.
