Frankfurt After a lawsuit by the Baden-Württemberg consumer advice center against DWS, the fund company issued a cease-and-desist declaration. The Deutsche Bank fund subsidiary thus responded to the points in the advertising for a sustainable fund criticized by consumer protection groups.

As the consumer advice center and DWS announced on Wednesday, DWS undertook to refrain from the offending advertising from March 22nd. “We are pleased that we were able to engage in dialogue with the consumer advice center to further improve the security and clarity of our advertising materials for our investors,” said a DWS spokesman.

Last September, the Baden-Württemberg consumer advice center filed a lawsuit against DWS at the Frankfurt Regional Court for “misleading advertising for allegedly sustainable investments”. The first hearing on this should have taken place on Friday before the Frankfurt Regional Court. Now the dispute is settled with the cease and desist declaration from DWS.
