Dusseldorf Salary is still a taboo subject in Germany. 30 percent of employees in Germany do not even know how much their spouse earns. Around eight out of ten have no idea how much is on their colleagues’ payslips. These are the results of a current study by Stepstone with more than 5000 participants.
In order to at least reduce this gap in knowledge, the online job platform is publishing Germany’s salary report for the first time together withSalary.de. The report, which is available to the Handelsblatt, is based on 600,000 current salary data and offers an overview of what you can earn in different industries, regions and jobs.
Tech and biotech are among the top industries this year. However, the shortage of skilled workers enables above-average salary increases in many sectors.
