Details of the Middle Income Housing Campaign Announced

Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati announced the details of the middle-income housing campaign.

While housing prices have increased tremendously in the last two years, packages were announced this year as well as last year, which delight those who want to own a house. Today, Nureddin Nebati, Minister of Treasury and Finance, details of the new housing package explained.

In the campaign called ‘My New Home’, which focuses on the middle income, how much down payment will be made by the citizens and How many years installments will be paid with how many percent interest shared. In addition, the ceiling limit for the loan was also determined.

Housing with 10% down payment and 0.69% interest: Here are the details of the new housing loan

  • 10% minimum down payment
  • A maximum maturity of 15 years, Interest starting from 0.69%
  • The ceiling limit of the loan to be given:
    • Maximum 5 million TL in 1st Region province (Istanbul)
    • Maximum 3 million TL in 2nd Region provinces (Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Antalya, Mersin and Muğla)
    • In the 3rd Region provinces (all other provinces), a maximum of 2 million TL
  • A part of the installments in the first 3 years will be undertaken by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance with the condition of repayment.
    • Thus, the installment amounts for the first 3 years will be reduced.
  • Installments will not exceed 40% of household income.
  • There is no age limit, it is enough for the person to have credibility.
  • in the first place 100 thousand families housing will be provided.

The purchased house will not be sold for 5 years:

Citizens, the houses they bought with the campaign It will not sell for 5 years. In addition, individuals who are found to have made an unfair price increase will be shared with the relevant units for necessary action. Price increases in the sector will be followed.

Conditions sought for citizens who will benefit from the campaign:

  • The campaign will only be valid for new residences.
  • The person who will buy a house does not already own any house
    • If there are land plots and fields, they will be out of scope. Timeshares and those who own a house in the countryside will have the right to housing.
  • Not having sold a house in the province where it will be purchased within the last year.
  • Those who want to buy a house in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa, Mersin and Muğla have been residing there for the last year.

In addition, cooperative members, shared housing title deed ownership, title deed ownership by inheritance and title deed ownership by donation will be excluded.

What will the application process be like?

  • Contractor companies will be included in this campaign with housing projects made in accordance with the criteria to be determined.
  • Citizens who want to buy housing will apply to the bank by choosing apartments that are suitable for their payment conditions.
  • Banks will also allocate the loan to the citizen in case of compliance and the purchasing process will begin.

Which projects will be included in the campaign?

  • Projects produced by Emlak Konut General Directorate.
  • Projects of companies affiliated to GYODER, İNDER, Konutder, İmkon and Turkish Contractors’ Association.
  • All large and small scale housing projects produced by companies in all of our 81 provinces; they will be involved in this process as the technical and financial criteria are met.
  • Housing with social reinforcement areas will be prioritized.
  • Projects that put the environment at the center will be encouraged with zero waste and energy efficiency practices.
