Dax with a slight plus in early trading – investor sentiment falls

Dusseldorf The German leading index Dax starts Tuesday with small gains. In the first hour of trading, the Dax was up 0.2 percent at 15,936 points.

Concerns about a debt crisis in the USA are putting pressure on the Frankfurt stock exchange barometer, while strong numbers from the Dax companies have recently given a boost. The opposing impulses balance out the price dynamics: the Dax remains in its sideways movement.

In the past six months, the leading index has recorded eleven percent price growth, and at the beginning of May it even briefly jumped above the psychologically important mark of 16,000 points, which it last (and for the first time) reached in January 2022.
