Dusseldorf On the German stock market, the 14,000 point mark remains an important obstacle on the way up. The Dax falls below this level again at the opening on Monday. In the first hour of trading, the leading German index was 0.7 percent lower at 13,936 points.

The Frankfurt stock exchange barometer ended a turbulent week last Friday with a clear plus. There were 650 points between the highest and lowest point of the week, coupled with an above-average trading volume.

The new week could also be turbulent. The reporting season in the upper segment is almost over – a strong first quarter has supported prices. As a result, stress factors that have been known for a long time are now coming to the fore again.

The impending turnaround in interest rates in Europe and the USA regularly creates new uncertainty on the markets. This is accompanied by economic concerns, mainly due to the strict Covid policy in China and the interrupted supply chains.
