Dusseldorf On the German stock market, the 14,000 point mark remains an important obstacle on the way up. The Dax is 0.4 percent lower at 13,966 points in the morning. In the meantime, the leading index had been able to make up for its daily losses before economic concerns caused a new minus.

The Frankfurt stock exchange barometer ended a turbulent week last Friday with a clear plus. There were 650 points between the highest and lowest point of the week, coupled with an above-average trading volume.

The new week could also be turbulent. The reporting season in the Dax is almost over – a strong first quarter supported prices. Therefore, long-known stress factors are now moving to the fore again.

The impending turnaround in interest rates in Europe and the USA regularly creates new uncertainty on the markets. This is accompanied by economic concerns, mainly due to the strict Covid policy in China and the interrupted supply chains.
